Here are some images from my current project! I have really enjoyed this project as scary as it is to be so close to the real world! I have been working with circular forms as it came to my attention a lot of my subject matter was circular i wanted it to become a feature of my design! I have also started to experiment with folding and pleating fabric. I love these oragami style edges i have created which look like the little tartlet cases i have been studying! Enjoy!

Taking a break from my final major project i’ve been making easter nests! I made these last year in my elective project. I managed to sell a few on to local florists too! I’ve been making them by creating a basic frame by twinning and knotting garden string and then twisting and knotting other elements into the design such as organza, feathers, wire and hessian. I love how realistic they look!!

Hello Welcome to my blog! I’ m a contemporary applied artist currently studying towards my final year of a degree. My work is based in embroidery and print. With only about 8 weeks to go until my final exhibition its time to panic!!! So i’ll start with an introduction to my project. I am currently working on a theme titled ‘a family collection’ which takes the form of my Grandma’s recipe book. My Grandma was and still is my idol and being my last year it felt appropriate to produce something close to my heart. Currently i am at the final planning stage of my project. I am planning to make a collection of producs such as aprons, napkins and napkin rings, teatowels, placemats etc… So to begin with here are a few photographs of my recent samples and visual research.
