Hello! As promised i am finally keeping up to date with my blog. So, here’s a little inspiration i found on a recent day trip to Durham! I have a real fascination at the moment with old buildings. We all seem to forget how beautiful some of them are! Hope you like.
Look at my beautiful bird’s nest my dad kindly retrieved from the garden for me!
Well i haven’t been around for a while been slaving away at a full time job! After the hellish year i had last year i think i needed a break to recover! I have however managed to start and get things back on track! I have decided to make a go of it as a designer/maker and I’m going to have to just jump into it feet first! So i have began by re visiting my birdsnest project as i never felt i had quite finished what i started. These are just a few photos of what i have been up to over the last month or so. I have always loved to felt so getting back into that feels really good. I have rediscovered the excitement of buying threads and buttons and fabrics! I feel without the pressure of University i have managed to push through the boundaries i felt were holding me back. This i feel is the start of a whole new me. Hope you like.

Pretty pieces of inspiration!
Here are some images from my current project! I have really enjoyed this project as scary as it is to be so close to the real world! I have been working with circular forms as it came to my attention a lot of my subject matter was circular i wanted it to become a feature of my design! I have also started to experiment with folding and pleating fabric. I love these oragami style edges i have created which look like the little tartlet cases i have been studying! Enjoy!
